Important Walker information

 

Om Sairam Dear Walker, 

 

This message contains some important information about the walk, please see below: 

 

PLEASE NOTE – All participants should have a sponsorship/registration form which you either collected in person from the temple/centers or received via email. If you are intending to bring your family/friends (including minors) with you, please make sure they have all been registered and given this form. Each form has a unique number which is your walker ID. Hence, it’s very important that you bring this form with you on the day of walk. 

 

Walk Details : 

Date – Sunday, 13th Sept, 2026 

Registration desk opens between 9.00 am to 10.00am. You can come anytime between this time to register. 

Walk starts at – 10.00am. Participants will walk on footpath in groups 

Distance – 8-9 miles. 

Route –Shirdi Sai Baba Temple, Union Road, Wembley T Shirdi Sai Baba Temple, Union Road, Wembley. Yes, it starts from Temple and finishes at Temple.

On the day of Walk 

 

- Please bring along completed sponsorship/registration forms with any sponsorship monies you have collected to the registration desk. 

 -          Please provide full details including name and address of the sponsor and please tick the gift aid check box (if applicable). It doesn’t cost anything extra to the sponsor. 

-          If for any reason you are unable to participate for the walk, please email at info@shirdisai.org.uk ASAP with your Name. 

-          Once you have reported at the registration desk, you will receive a walker’s kit. Please note only registered walkers will be given the walker’s kit. If you wish to bring your friends/family to the walk, they would ALL need to register first at the desk by paying £10 each. T-Shirt may not be guaranteed. 

-          Refreshments will be provided at the start of the walk.  

-          Please ensure you follow the route providedIf you wish to discontinue the walk, please inform at the emergency numbers printed on the map/badge or any of the temple volunteers. 

-          Please adhere to Traffic Rules and Regulations at all times during the walk. Use pedestrian crossings and walk on pavement at all times. Take precautions from any pet animals like Dogs etc on the route. 

- Walkers will walk in the groups of 6-8 walkers only.

-          Under 16’s should be always accompanied by an adult throughout the route. 

-          Please do not throw any rubbish on street during the walk. Please use public dust bins. 

-          In case of an emergency or for any assistance, please contact the emergency numbers printed on the map/badge. 

-          We advise you wear comfortable shoes for the walk. As of now forecast for the day is mostly cloudy and at 10-15 deg.(some rain from 3:00pm onwards) So please wear appropriate gear.
